As a Ph.D. student, the pursuit of knowledge often feels like navigating a complex network, each element representing a connection waiting to be made. Yet, amidst the pressures of academia and research, we must not overlook the profound importance of connecting with others. In this image, the ‘messiness’ of the fishing nets indicates the intricate nature of our lives(complexity), however when unravelled and placed in some order the elements provide a strong connection to enable a successful catch. Just as these threads of materials rely on one another to function, so too do we depend on the support and understanding of our peers. Embracing the complexity of our journey, we need to forge meaningful connections, creating a tapestry of shared experiences and mutual support. Connection with others is key!
